Saturday Communion Services

We are found together in the homes, sidewalks, cafes, businesses, and parks of our community, sharing life day by day among our neighbors. On Saturdays at 4 we gather all together for the transformative proclamation of the story of God through song, reading of scripture, preaching, prayer, and communion.

All are welcome to join us, whatever your background and wherever you are with God. We’ll welcome you warmly and anything you need to participate in the service will be projected and easily visible. You can also pick up a service guide that helps to explain some things that may be unfamiliar.

Parking is on the street, free on the closest parts of 31st St, and on Normal or 30th St. it’s also free (but if there’s a White Sox game, we can get you a parking pass for those when you come inside). We’re also walkable from the 44, 8, or 35 buses, or the Sox-35th red line station (33rd St entrance).

Dress is varied, come as you like, and you’ll be just right.

A few elements of our service are in Spanish, as we hope to bless and welcome neighbors whose heart language is Spanish and don’t have many options for Spanish-language worship. Also, some of our music team members have grown up with Spanish-language music as part of their praise to God and they enjoy sharing that with us from time to time. The service as a whole is primarily English, and you’ll be fully able to participate with no Spanish knowledge.

We love our times together and we see God working healing among and around us. We look forward to meeting you!

Sacred Space

A monthly night of listening to God, responding and sharing in word and in art, and praying for healing and justice. The next gathering is Tuesday, April 16th.
